In the Beginning...

Our story doesn’t start with fireworks or fairy‑tale castles. It starts with late nights, long drives, and a shared love of the worlds we escape into together. It’s not glamorous, but it’s ours—and it’s nerdy, heartfelt, and cosmic in all the ways that matter.

We met on Facebook Dating. After too many “meh” dates and “what was I thinking” moments, I swiped on Tristin—and something clicked. At the time, I was working third shift at Teleperformance, taking calls for USAA, and Tristin was finishing shifts at UPS just a few miles away. Even though he lived over an hour and a half away in Radcliff, he’d still stop by after work just to see me. Those quiet, late‑night visits became the beginning of something beautiful.

We’d been talking for months before we met in person, so when he finally came over, he didn’t just show up—he brought me a birthday gift that felt like a love letter in fandom form: a TARDIS teapot, an Eleventh Doctor figure, and an Adipose plushie. For anyone keeping score, that’s basically the holy trinity of my personal Doctor Who nerd‑dom. It was thoughtful, personal, and completely unexpected. That moment told me everything I needed to know: Tristin wasn’t just paying attention—he understood the quirky, nerdy, mismatched sentimental parts of me that make me who I am, and he celebrated them.

From the very beginning, our relationship has been built on shared fandoms. We don’t just watch shows—we dive into them, debate them, quote them, and let them become part of our story. The first week we met, we started watching Loki together. It wasn’t just background noise; it was the spark of a tradition. Every episode was a chance to laugh, theorize, and see the universe through each other’s eyes. That show became our first shared world, and since then, we’ve collected countless others—stories, characters, and fandoms that we’ve folded into the fabric of our relationship.

For us, love looks like curling up on the couch, pressing play, and stepping into new universes side by side. It’s the way we share our favorite worlds with each other, the way we geek out over plot twists, and the way we find magic in the ordinary. Our relationship isn’t just built on late‑night visits and thoughtful gifts—it’s built on stories. And every fandom we share becomes another chapter in ours.

Our love story isn’t flashy. It’s built on fandom gifts, long drives, and conversations that stretched into the early hours. It’s built on respect, laughter, and the kind of connection that feels like destiny. And honestly? That feels even more magical than any fairy tale.

So here we are, sharing our story with you—our family, our friends, our fellow nerds. This is the first post in what we hope will be a whole collection of stories, photos, and memories. Because our wedding isn’t just about us—it’s about all of us, together, celebrating the weird, wonderful, nerdy love that brought us here.

Welcome to our beginning… and stay tuned for more episodes in the saga of our life together.
